Porter Bathroom

Designed for Comfort Today — and the Years Ahead

When the Porters began thinking about aging in place, their existing primary bathroom no longer felt workable. The layout was tight and difficult to maneuver, and the adjoining spaces were not being used efficiently.

We stepped back and evaluated the entire suite. By removing walls between the bathroom and adjacent areas, we were able to create a larger, more open layout that feels calm, functional, and easy to navigate.

The new space includes a spacious curb-less shower, a double-sink vanity, and discreetly integrated support features that enhance safety without compromising design. We also reworked the closet configuration so the entire en-suite functions as one cohesive space.

The finished bathroom is comfortable, accessible, and beautifully built — a space that supports independence while maintaining a timeless aesthetic.

Project Investment: $76,000 (2025)
